Terms of Service
Last updated September 28, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Rhinestone Pattern Maker ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Rhinestone Pattern Maker.
2. The service
Rhinestone Pattern Maker lets you upload a photo and turn it into a rhinestone craft pattern, exported as a single .zip download containing an info sheet (the legend and per-color stone counts) and one print-ready SVG cut file for each color and stone size, compatible with tools like Cricut Design Space and Silhouette Studio. Designing and previewing patterns is free and unlimited. Exporting a clean copy requires either a one-time payment for that pattern or an active annual subscription.
3. Accounts
You need an account with a valid email address to use Rhinestone Pattern Maker, including the free design and preview features. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Please provide accurate information when you sign up.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your province or country to purchase a pattern or subscription. If you're younger than that but at least 16, you may use Rhinestone Pattern Maker only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
5. Your photos and patterns
You own the photos you upload and the patterns you generate from them. Photo processing happens entirely in your browser. Your original photo is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
When you export a pattern, we generate and store the resulting pattern file so you can re-download it later from "My Patterns." By exporting, you grant us a limited license to store that file and make it available to you. We don't use it for any other purpose and don't claim ownership of it.
You're responsible for having the rights to any photo you upload. Don't upload photos you don't have permission to use, or content that's illegal, infringing, or violates someone else's rights.
6. Payments and subscriptions
The price, currency, and what you're paying for are shown at checkout before you enter any payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your payment is also subject to Stripe's own terms of service. We never see or store your full card number.
- One-time purchase: unlocks unlimited re-downloads of that specific pattern, delivered digitally and immediately once payment succeeds.
- Subscription: bills automatically every year at the price shown when you subscribe, and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, free of charge, from the account menu's "Manage subscription" link. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the billing period you've already paid for, with no partial refund for that period.
- Because patterns are delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are generally final. This doesn't limit any cancellation or refund rights you have under applicable consumer protection law, including Alberta's Internet Sales Contract Regulation. If you think you were charged in error, contact us and we'll take a look.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload illegal, infringing, or content you don't have rights to.
- Use Rhinestone Pattern Maker to create patterns or crafted items for commercial sale that reproduce a trademarked or copyrighted character, logo, or brand (for example, a licensed cartoon character or a sports team logo) without permission from the rights holder. This applies whether the photo you upload is one you took yourself or one you found elsewhere; owning the photo doesn't give you rights to a character, logo, or brand shown in it.
- Use automated tools to abuse the free preview tier or circumvent payment for exports.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the service.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe a pattern generated through Rhinestone Pattern Maker infringes your copyright, email contact@rhinestonepatternmaker.com with a description of the copyrighted work, the pattern or account it relates to, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized. We'll investigate and remove infringing material we control where appropriate.
9. Intellectual property
Rhinestone Pattern Maker's software, design, and branding belong to us. These terms don't transfer any ownership of that to you beyond a license to use the service as intended, and don't affect your ownership of your own photos and patterns as described in Section 5.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify us against any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of Rhinestone Pattern Maker, the photos or content you upload, or your violation of these terms.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
Rhinestone Pattern Maker is provided "as is" and "as available." Stone sizes, counts, and placement are generated algorithmically from your photo and settings, and are estimates. You may need to adjust them for your specific project or materials. We don't guarantee compatibility with every version of any third-party cutting software.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Rhinestone Pattern Maker. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. You can stop using Rhinestone Pattern Maker at any time and request deletion of your account by contacting us.
14. Dispute resolution
If a disagreement comes up, please email contact@rhinestonepatternmaker.com first so we can try to resolve it informally. If that doesn't work, the dispute will be handled under the governing law and jurisdiction described below.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use Rhinestone Pattern Maker after a change means you accept the updated terms.
16. Miscellaneous
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and us about Rhinestone Pattern Maker. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don't act on a violation right away, that doesn't waive our right to act on it later. You can't transfer your rights under these terms to someone else without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of selling or reorganizing the business. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events reasonably outside our control.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.
